Sunday Morning Life Groups are a vital ministry of Bethany. We have groups for all ages, from the youngest to the oldest. Sunday Morning Life Groups are the platform for meeting together as God’s people before we enter into corporate worship. It is here that we commune with one another as a family. At 9:30 there is coffee and lite refreshments available in the fellowship room downstairs where we simply spend time together and calm down from the challenges that face us on Sunday mornings. We share with one another about our week and catch our breath before we head off to the various Life Groups. Here we pray for one another, share testimonies, and learn from the Scriptures about God’s faithfulness in a setting that encourages dialogue. This time of focused attention on the goodness and glory of God helps to prepare our hearts to enter into corporate worship as the people of God. The list below gives a description of the various groups and their current topic of study.

Mixed Adults Group

This group is led by various teachers in the church and is usually centered around a study series such as a verse-by-verse study of a particular book of the Bible, or studies on the miracles or life of Christ and other doctrinal issues and topics.

Ask Group

This group is normally led by our pastor. It is designed to be a forum for young adults, whether married or single, to engage in discussion about challenges believers face in a broken world and how the Bible helps us to navigate those difficulties.

Inquirer’s Class

Twice a year we hold a class for those who are considering membership at Bethany. Members of this group learn about the doctrinal views of the church, our denominational affiliation, and how to become connected within the life of the church. It is also attended by those who simply want a refresher course on Reformed theology.

Kids Club

Kidz Klub is for toddlers and kindergarteners. Here our covenant children learn God's Word integrated with crafts, coloring, and music.

Kool Kidz

Kool Kidz is a community for first and fourth graders. This group uses age appropriate curricula that is firmly rooted in Scripture and the Reformed tradition to begin teaching our covenant children to trust Christ and love his church.

Good News

This community is for grades 5-8 and utilizes curriculum from Great Commission Publications and focuses on various biblical topics, Scripture memory and learning the Shorter Catechism, as well as crafts, projects, and music.

Discovery is a group for middle and high schoolers, grades 6-12. This group serves as a communicant class preparing those who are about to make a profession of their faith. We learn about what we believe as a church and children of God as well as a brief overview of church history.

Ignite is a community for high schoolers, grades 9-12. They discuss the difficulties young people face in high school and in the world and are challenged to stand strong in their faith. This is a conversation based class where we can have an open dialogue on how we can be light to those around us.
